If i win the lottery one of my ideas is to buy things like that steam vehicle and put them on a farm so you can come and stay for the weekend and learn how to be a Fred Dibnah, Being a part of something and seeing it become a working thing again as part of a community with all that teaching and learning would be great.A few more sad images as this old engine is left to rot.
The site wants to sell it, but can not find a buyer.
The Nimbies want it to remain.

Found today, on a visit to a new site, 2 old oil furnaces.

The tanks are still in place, something is in them. I didn't investigate that far.

Over the years the sire grew up round the 2 monsters. To a state now to remove them they have to be striped down completely. So they remain.

Thanks for sharing your story.
, his yatch he was making out of concrete thats why I got the invite as a lad I thought he was taking the ### out of me ,so he said come and look , his old cottage was loverly , he had knocked a hole through wall between kitchen and main room, fitted a large fish tank ,around the border a antique picture frame I took a second look and realised it wast a 3d picture when a fish moved, to this day I can relive and see the whole layout including his vincent as if it were yesterday , the photo s of his steam traction engine .certainly his can do attitude towards life and unstinting enthusiasm for making "stuff" was I geuss somewhat infectious. the funny bit was my brother and I went on our motorbikes , he said his youg kids spent the whole week end trying to mimick us pulling wheelies on their push bikes and could stop talking about that !!Fantastic!

Sad to see but it might have a story. In a village near me, been there a while.....
