https://www.mech-mate.co.ukI did come across a company who did fibreglass moulds for pits
ISTR a carbon monoxide monitor must be fitted to commercial pits now, since someone passed out/died. Might be a good idea regardless of regs.
Carbon monoxide is lighter than air and usually spreads evenly, there is a reason you put Co alarms on ceilings and high on a wall and not on the skirting boards, there are other gasses that will still cause asphyxiation especially if they replace oxygen.
Good piont. It must have been some other gas/fume
My BiL suffered severe burns by working on a car in a pit at a mate's place.
Under car, drain petrol tank, retired for a quick brew and returned to the pit. Fired up the OA set and bam....big flash explosion. He couldn't get out quickly & suffered very severe burns to his upper body [Summer time, so he was bare chested and only wearing welding goggles, no other PPE - it was about 35 years ago ]
The burns were so severe he needed years of skin grafts - they thought he was a goner initially.
Take care down there folks.
Aye, but young lads 'doing up' their [possibly first] old car don't think like that, sadly..... "£500? . I could install a well banging stereo for that, innit"Ok ill change that too £500 is worth the investment esspecially when you take into account the money you will save using it. Very sorry to hear that happened.
