Aluminium extruded frame

Anyone know of a cheapish supplier of this type of extruded Aluminium.

I am considering remaking my plasma table so that it is a better orientation for the container it is situated in.
Looking like I will getting on for £800-£1000 for it from the places I have found so far and at this time I am not wanting to splash too much cash seeing as the future is uncertain for me.


This is kind of what I have planned, 3m x 1.5m and this is drawn with 60 x 60 extrusion.

I've seen folk make the frame out of teel and then to get it perfectly flat and level they set up a small upright along the ides of the channel and then filled it with resin which self levels

My current one is made from 100 x 100 x 6 steel box as I got a few lengths of rusty stuff for free.
Was hoping to make something that was easily dismantled just in case I need to move

Sad thing is a big multinational shut down here a few years back, well probably 10 I went in to pick up some stuff for a friend as he was taking over the production of a part for them. I was asked if there was anything I wanted and if so to help myself. They had hundreds of machines made from it but the doors closed in an hour and I didn't get a chance to get much at all, also I just had a small car anyway.
Sad thing is it was all getting pushed into a big pit inside the factory and covered over that evening, if only I had gone a few days earlier to pick up the stuff

I used this company when i wanted some 30 x 30 profile, not sure if they are the cheapest. I does look like they are closed at the moment though.

Thanks, that was one place I found and is actually their dxf I used for the model.
The other place I found is Valueframe, they seem to be maybe slightly cheaper but not sure if it looks as robust.

Thanks, that is the two I have found that seem to be reasonable, well compared to others anyway

I've used both in the past... no issues. Can't remember if profiles and fitings are interchangeable

This is the only one I can find so far no idea on prices or what they are like as I’ve never used them , but might be worth a try but they seem to do pretty much everything with Ali extrusion

Just been down to measure the rack I have on the machine and the spare bits, going to be tight so may not be able to alter anyway

Orgbar.com could be another one. Went to a show a little while back and got leads on various suppliers for quite a few bits.

I was very lucky twice our local scrappy had some machines made from it, he employs a bloke to strip it down as its high grade ally I paid about £60 for enough to make two small benches and a few spares. I assume you have tried Ebay?
