Thread holes in concrete

i have a stand for my pipe bender which i want to be removable from its place

It is going to be bolted down using some big expanding bolts into concrete

But if i remove it to free some floor pace i am left with 3 threaded rods sticking out of the floor

I will trip over these

So

If there any good or easy way of getting a threaded hole into concrete which has already been laid?

Screw some countersunk bolts in to stop them filling with rubbish when not in use.

Perfect answer and pretty much what I was typing. (no point now)
No need to add anything except if you want really flush use a grub screw with a bit of grease so it comes apart.

use anchor bolts like these.

tighten the bolt up to get the fixing to expand, then remove the bolt and replace it with a stud if you want

They sometimes fall to bits when the bolt is taken out. I struggled for years with shield type anchors.

I have found these to be excellent, drill your hole and screw them in.
I have used for things such as brackets to concrete walls, ladders and handrails around the harbour into sandstone etc etc.
Just unscrew to remove and screw back in to replace.

Just an alternative,I have some sockets in the shop and yard,made from 80 & 200 square box for dropping fixtures into,just weld /bolt the correct size spigot under the base -bobs your uncle.or @8ob .

Here are a few of the things I use them for.

Backet holding a heavy 3 phase transformer to the wall.

Shelves for collets and junk.

Watercooler/bracket for welders.

Rack shelf for VDI30 holders.

Wall bracket for 40 taper holders (ignore arrows they were for something else)

excellent product,I still remember the unifix rep showing me those in 1993,as they claimed the patent named thunderbolt.
I built a cattle shed in 1996,hit bedrock 100 mm below ground,used 12x150 thunderbolts.its the stanchion on the right corner,windy exposed hillside ,still there.

I think the first ones I had were Thunderbolts but also around the same time I was using others called Multi-Monti. Now there are hundreds of different names for them

They really are the muts nuts, amazing pull out resistance. Use the to suspend wall plates but m12

I would go for the rimmed drop in anchors for a few reasons, any hole in a floor will fill with dust/crud when not in use and become a ball ache. A drop in anchor has enough rim if set to the correct height to accommodate a countersunk screw which will act as a dust cover without becoming a trip hazard. Set the wedge and back it up with a shallow grub screw, job done.

The shell anchors are a pain in the rear end because they deform when you tighten the bolt and then collapse inwards. Also the end can roll over and make it impossible to put a new bolt in.

I'd go for the thunderbolts in Hood's post #8 or the red-heads in Bob's post above. If using the red-heads plug the top when not in use to save hoovering them out next time.

Have seen stanchion hit by slew boom bent only held down by Thunderbolts, don't know about taking out & in though

M12 thunderbolts very good I have them holding up some 6 ton concrete panels whilst I demolish them. The M16 ones are standard scaffolding tie fare. They hold a lot.

Resined in sockets are the way forward.

Shield anchors, the threaded bit falls out if you're not carefull when you remove the bolt. then are a pain in the backside.

Thunderbolts are great, but not really suitable to go in and out regularly. The concrete will eventually wear.

How about using a steel plate with captive nuts set into the concrete using countersunk fittings? A bit more work initially but anything fitted would be easily removed and refitted
