Aldi Multitool

Heads up.
Ferrex branded, generic "wiggle" cutter and sander. Supplied with plunge cutter, half circle saw, sanding backing pad and sandpaper, and a scraper blade.
Was £19.99, now down to £7.99.
I had to get the price checked at the till just to make sure.
Didn't even need one but, here we are.
Just in case anyone else fancies one

I have a Makita multitool, it's great for cutting away plywood shuttering where rebar is protruding through it.

You can't get into a lot of places with a grinder.
Already got a Bosch one, they're dead handy to have.

I had one for ages then when I used it for an awkward job it was worth every penny, I would buy one as a spare and for the blades. Bit like my finger sander very handy for certain jobs

I bought a bare 20V multi tool from Aldi for £7.95. I hacked it take a Makita battery. Didn't work.

My 230V Lidl multitool has just failed as in the on/off switch won't switch off.

Buy cheap...

And if you do buy a decent one. Makes a world of difference to the vibrations.

Nothing actually wrong with my 18V Bosch except that the blade change lever tries to take lumps out of my hand each time I use it. One of the lads I occasionally work with has the Dewalt which is much nicer to work with.
Useful tools that you never knew you needed until you get one.

Recently had to cut a hole back of cupboard, had to contort myself to get in there, stuff in the way. There was a socket needed to check behind back panel, cordless grinder with a 0.8mm small worn disc was a perfect fit for the space, tho I did take the guard off

the switch on my green bosch multitool died after10 years of sterling service at work I got a new one from autojumble with just the blade and screw missing 25 quid also have a Macalister rechargeable one our lass bought and its half decent

We have the Lidl equivalent. I wouldn't pay a lot for one to be honest, but they are handy for occasional jobs where a bigger tool won't fit.

A multitool is one of those things that you think you'll never need then once you've got one you wonder how you could ever do without it.

My current ones is a Wickes one, But my previous Silverline one didn't last. But power tools made by Silverline says it all

Fein the original designers of the multi tool, built to industrial quality ( far from cheap ) and were around for many years before every one else jumped on the band wagon , a pretty much indispensable tool for general building and joinery Plus more.
As said once youv'e had one you wonder how you did with out it.
