What make of dishwasher do you reccomend?

The sales are coming to an end here, I'm looking for a reliable long lasting make of dishwasher, full size one.

Siemens, indesit, bosch?

40 % off in the sales, a 500 Euro dish washer, is 300 currently. Standard 2 year guarantee extendable to 5.

Any recommendations please?

I have used Bosch dishwashers for years and been happy with them, last one lasted 15 years when replaced with another Bosch it needed a board replaced in a week, the repair guy said the new Bosch machines made in Turkey were not the same quality.

Miele all day,every day.

I've had a couple of Bosch and they were very good. When the last one had enough and I was looking to replace it I went to a big independent place in Gloucester that I've used a few time. I was looking at Siemens as they had 5 year warranty. Every single member of staff had Miele and said that even with Miele having 2 year warranty they would take a Miele over a 5 year warranty Siemens.

Now I know we could argue maybe they have better margins on a Miele but I bought one and it's been very good.

Not a Bosch/AEG/NEFF made in Turkey.

Ours has only run for 10 years so far, so cannot comment on reliability

I had a Smeg one from Curries.

Still going strong, now with a Friend. Family of four.
Only one issue with it, the moulded plug went brittle. But I think that was due to the heat from the fridge.

When my mum stays she empties the dishwasher even though it's the kids job. She couldn't understand why there was no cutlery in there, she hadn't seen the drawer at the top.
They even have a separate spray head for the cutlery drawer.
My wife says she prefered the basket but I like the drawer, ours is next the cutlery drawer so it's dead easy to transfer as it's at a similar height.

I'm pretty sure my Sister-in-Law has a Miele washer and you can bared hear it running, not sure if it's Direct Drive or not? She swears by it and I know it was 'spendy'. Nor does it try to wriggle its way to freedom like my old one does....

I've not done price comparisons or any reviews [which may be part fiction like a lot of the online stuff anyway ] but I think these places would be good to deal with.

The other thing our Miele has that doesn't seem that common is 75 degree cycle.

Last Dishwasher we purchased was a Bosch, Great machine but has a niggle that I hate and never had it with the last one in that when you pull the lower basket out and it's loaded it tends to jump off the door runners skewing sideways and making a right mess.
Before this one we had a Toshiba again great machine but the basket runners kept wearing out and I replaced a number of times before we went to Bosch.
Next one might have to be a Miele or the like but so far the Bosch keep working..

We’ve got a Meile, bought from the same place Armalites talking about I think, had it 15 years now, still going strong. The Bosch previously only did 5 years & needed a new board, not worth doing at that age.
