3d printed brake caliper bracket

I don't have a 3d printer unfortunately, perhaps something for 2020...

I have 5 now. It's not the printing, its fusion 360 that's doing my head in.
A guy from the states took the time to create a part and videoed it for me......but did not bother to save it..lol.
I could have just pushed and pulled till it was the right size.........arrfgggg.

I am Hoping someone learning 360 might wish to follow it and save it for me......
I can do but very slowly as I have not finished my new computer yet.... Lol

No promises but I'll ask my lad to take a look. He got the printer on 21st Dec and is using Fusion 360, Blender & Cura since then only and seems pretty fluent.

When he surfaces eventually today!

Evening, my lad modelled that thing on 360 for you. Most unimpressed it was in inches! He says it's perfectly dimensioned as per the video.

Well it's for an S15. Real car.
But all it's to do is to allow me to bolt it all up in place and then measure for alterations.
They do sell big brake conversion kits but no one does an S15 to brembo. Caliper we have.
As it stands it's not going to fit yet anyway as the lad who did the video did not quite understand what I really needed and he ended up Copying a photo I sent him as an example.
But I was so grateful for his time I was sure once my PC is running I can follow his video but alter it. . Now your lad has done that for me I can prod and poke and see if I can get it close.

Of course not as long as OnOff is happy I have seen his reply so it seems he is.

It won't fit the S15 yet I am going to have to alter dimensions and add lugs but I dont have exact sizes yet.

I do plan to mill them out of steel eventually but the way my brain works it's easier to copy a finished piece of plastic I know fits perfectly.

It was an American lad who created that video. That's why it was in inches. Lol

Just printing a test piece out direct from your STL using the ender 2 and steady tech ABS pro. It was the easiest to use as it was setup.

That's as the STL came. Printed in steady tech ABS Pro on an ender 2.

1hour 16 mins...pretty impressive

So tomorrow will be spent trying to adjust hole centers and sizes etc.
Bed beckons tonight after 3 X 4am late sleeps though.

Is this for STI brembos? If so contact Alyn@ ASperformance. They do adaptor kits and drum inserts for the bigger handbrake drums.

Nope it's not for those. It's for the bmw 2 pot calipers with radial mounts.

They were well priced....but 3d printing is slow and when you need it you often need stuff quick...plus I am a horder. Lol

This is the reality of what we are trying to replace.


The big problem no one makes brackets for the S15 hole centers and the Brembo hole centers.
So I am having to try and print a mount. Bolt it up. And. Then see if it's accurate.
If not adjust the file and reprint till it all bolts up.
Once that's done I will. Mill them out of steel.
