They would just chop the pedal off and drive on the stub

You didnt live over the road from my uncle did you?! He did this on all of his 'valuable' Fords! That reminds me of a guy across the road from me, he used a length of chain and two padlocks, one end around the steering wheel, the other to the brake pedal,...this were over 30 years ago now, Ford Cortina I think he had.

Maybe, did he have a couple of attractive daughters, one were around 17 at the time, I almost got to take her to the pictures one day but she blew me out at the last minute.
Believe me. Whatever you do, if they want it, they WILL take it.
I’m not going to discuss LR security on open forum, but having what has been suggested and more. They still took my pride and joy.
I also had a race truck/motorhome stolen from a secure compound, with CCTV. They just gas axled the gates off

Didn't Langy used to chain the two front wheels of his rods together whilst they were on the drive, I think I remember seeing it in one of the photos on here. Why not make a couple of wheel clamps they'd make it a bit slower to nick and at least they'd be seen before they damage the doors
Maybe the answer is not to have a LR or anything worth nicking in the first place?
Or quite simply don't tell anyone. Hard when you are driving around in it, people can obviously see it but I am always cautious. Not Super Secret Squirrel, but I am always on the lookout as I usually have a vehicle full of guns. It can get you a bit paranoid. Most of the "look what I got" brigade I quite simply do not understand, nor do I care to.
Sadly, a Landrover has real potential as a parts donor so no matter what condition they are desirable.
I've considered getting rid because of it,
You can't just park it anywhere, it might not still be there when you get back.
Having a lot of security is a pain too, don't want to spend half an hour every morning getting it ready to actually use.
I think the main thing is making sure you have good insurance incase it does go walkies, doesn't really help with the ones that have sentamental value but that's just the way it is
Even in the van I've been known to detour just to check.
Knew thy were desirable to the thieves but didn't realise how much, surprises me you can insure them without paying silly money if they're that desirable. They sound like the old cossys.
