So, ive not even finished building it yet, and already its too small.
Its not for lack of planning - i knew this would be the case, and, i mean its not terrible at all, and it will be the best set up that ive ever had, but im already eyeing up the rest of the garden. SWMBO says "no" however. Even to a shed for the compressors.
kit list -
cnc mill
varga table saw
extractor (as in wood work - should really go elsewhere)
bench with drill press
radial arm saw on shelf (i dont often use it, but its great for those times when you need it - id like to have it set up, but theres really no room for it)
boiler
thermal store
reactors x2
bandsaw
wadkin table saw (on castors, so the lathe can still be used)
planer thickneser (would have to be pulled out to use)
rapidor (same)
smart and brown model M lathe
This layout is far from ideal, but its the best ive come up with in some time on CAD. Theres a wide door on the front, partially obscured by the rapidor, and a small door on the rear, partially obscured by the extractor.
Im wondering if the above will be workable or if ill go mad and start selling off kit? I know noone can tell me.
And, to think, i was hoping for a corner close off for spraying.... And it was only a couple of days ago that i was on about moving the 300tdi engine in there on a stand - i think that one will have to stay where it is for now.
The grim realities of life. Still, im grateful - it will be the best set up ive had so far, and nothing to be sniffed at really - a lot of people have far less utility, and i realise im lucky to have gotten this far!
