Guess the machine

Bought this the other day, not a metal working machine but can anyone guess what it is without looking it up.

I was thinking some sort of heavy duty sewing/stitching machine. Leatherwork would probably be more likely.

I believe its for thinning the leather at the edges ready for sticking etc.

Cheaper than the ones on ebay, not cheap but cheaper than new.£600.
I do car upholstery so hopefully it will up my game a bit.
After a new sewing machine now, got a quote for one I would like but at £1800 its a bit above my budget.

Have you tried it out for yourself, yet. They can be a bit of a pain in the bottom setting up sometimes, but usually just needs a bit tweeking.

Oh, and that is a really good price.

It is secondhand and I tested it before I bought it, previously the owner used it for making leather wallets and bags.We already have one where I work but I've spent hours tweeking it and adjusting it but never got it working to a level that I felt confident in using it.I was at the point of pricing up a new one and this one came up on ebay.Three hour round trip to collect it on sunday but now set up in the workshop ready to use.
