Tale of two drills startrite V Fobco

For years I wanted a Fobco star.
Few years ago I found an excellent Startrite but with a smile on the table.
Just bought a running Fobco but the whole belt guard is missing.
So which should I keep and why?
The Fobco id filly dirty but under the grime it looks very good.
Startrite is very clean apart from table drillings

Fobco on the basis that you obviously weren't happy enough with the startrite to stop yourself from buying the Fobco

If you have wanted one for years then you should keep it

Then you have a great opportunity for lamenting that you wish you had never sold the Startrite

If this is the best answer do I get the Startrite as a prize?

Problem is I like both, whilst the Fob co is very nice I dont like the missing belt guard and I dont hold much hope of finding one?
The Startrite is up and running just has slight table damage

He has a much better drill than me a massive Meddings floor stander! Its stored by me until he gets his own place, it was a gift from a good friend.

The Fobco is missing the belt cover as some one has added an extra pulley to allow more speeds a rough job but works, I will add a photo late, can you ever have too many drills?

I do have some Belzona stuff I was going to try.

Home made speed thingy now would that be faster or slower? 15 speeds instead of 5 I think

Tried ebay, but it's a 5.7mm shaft, and only the tiny push on ones have a small enough socket, and I'm not sure whether a bigger one will work, or whether relying on the screw to take up the slack would result in it breaking...
