Hey guys,
just as the title says. Ive landed my first ever welding job, self taught at home with about 10 hours welding experience. Job pays very well too so i stroke it lucky.
So anyway 2nd day today and ive run into a problem, so part of my first day i was laying some beads and alot of guys where praising my welds as they knew i didnt have much experience, i was using the e technique which i have seen in almost every welding video ive seen, but the guy ive been put with to be trained up does not want me using this technique and says to run a straight pass, as the e technique isnt strong enough.
Also the guy that took me for the welding test was happy enough me using it.
just want some experienced opinions on this as ive always used this technique an feel i have most control using it. So what do you guys think?
