Vertical pick up it has no issues at all with the biggest one at 36mm.
A good few kg there it will pull.

Looks good, might have to get myself one despite having at least six decent lights!

the pound land charging cables fit these bluepoint torches perfectly, but mine does not hold charge so I have ordered a new battery off ebay from the supplier below. Hopefully they are genuine and work as looking at other suppliers feedback on there there are a lot of Fakes.

I’ve got/had a good few. This one is my favourite so far.
She’s a tad thirsty on full power 400 lumen beam but it’s got a half power setting too if you don’t need it that bright and you get loads longer using that.

most snapon lights ived used at full power it only lasts 2 1/2 hrs too 3 hrs only

I have a B&Q special and I carnt really fault it I actually lost it for a month only to find it still stuck to the underside of the l200 and I had done quite a few miles on all weather conditions over that period I retrieved it cleaned it up and recharged and it lived again

Right so today the new battery arrived.



I stripped down the torch and removed the old battery, its covered in heat shrink with a small PCB fitted to the cables. I carefully removed the heat shrink and using a stanley blade removed the metal tabs at each end of the battery. I did try to unsolder them but they appear to be ultrasonically welded.



Once that was removed I soldered it to the new battery and taped everything together to keep it secure




Then i refitted the battery and PCB to the torch and hey presto all done



Its charging nicely with the poundland cable and with it being a 3400mAH battery it should last for quite a whilst.

That is the same batteries I bought but I was concerned to find that generic label on it so I didn't use them , why would you cover up all the important Panasonic details

I was worried when i openend the packaging too, but the supplier i bought them from had sold a lot and had no negative feedback about them so i'm hoping it will be OK

These lights are not only strong enough to work with but also survive in a working environment.
Before trying snap on I used others and everything else I tried just didn’t last before packing up.

I find that the full power setting is hardly ever needed, use the dimmer setting and conserve battery.

mines going off randomly now...got it under the car and good for about 10 mins then randomly goes off every few seconds , switch brings it back on

any ideas? ...i really like the lamp and how strong the magnet is so would like to fix it

I got my batteries from torchy as per the member suggested, he is on e bay and does seem to be genuine, I got the ones with tabs on them, my circuit board which is the battery protection circuit I believe, on the side of the battery seemed faulty so unsoldered the leads from it and onto the battery tabs and then plugged it in the charge light showed red then about two hrs later it went green, I used it for an MOT tonight in fact.

I lent one of mine to the guy doing an MOT for me this morning.

The light spread they have is very good.

I bought the tabbed battery from Torchy too, but I've not yet fitted it. Good idea about soldering the tabs direct to the board.

I'll do that on mine too, and post up some pics when I get a few mins spare.

That almost sounds like the battery is low, it cuts out to protect itself. I've seen similar on my cordless tools, they will stop dead you can try again and they work.
