So we have a Ford puma, which today decided to break its door electrics. No ford in their infinite wisdom made the locks electric. So if the battery fails you can't get in.
I've just finished work and about to walk the dog before sampling the ales in my local hostilery when swmbo rings in a panic. Car key won't work. Ffs
So she's car savvy and tried every thing.
So jump in tax as she is at the unit.
I'm thinking she's left the lights and flattened the battery.
So jack the car and connect 12v to the alternator feed and nope nuffin on the locks.
So there must be a fault in the lock circuit somewhere. I just can't get in the way test.
Now there are electric locks. The key is not connected mechanically to the lock/latch. The boot is electric too. So no fob. Battery checked and changed. And both door locks and the boo lock won't give access
