I'm a sucker for Knipex!

Recieved the cutters yesterday & they are completely unbranded which makes me question if they're genuine Knipex? Even though they are sold as Knipex.

What's peoples thoughts on this? The seller says he gets them from Knipex as a special order unbranded. Which doesn't wash well personally. I have contacted Knipex, But haven't heard back yet!

I would say there's little chance Knipex would tool up for a batch of unbranded tools!
Send them back.

might be good cutters but i doubt as the are unmarked castings they are knipex, I think fake,sorry.

Defo a set of cheapo cutters fobbed off to be something they ain’t. ALL knipex tools are clearly branded. I’ve a couple of pairs of cutters myself and those he’s sent you ain’t knipex. What a cheek. Get him told. I hate con men with a passion.

i tried to get them exchanged but was told by snapon i had tried to cut something too hard/not intended purpose so no chance.

They're don't exchange them if you try to cut 13 amps either, ask me how I know.

how do u know it was13 amp

He’s based it on the depth of the hole it’s put in his tool. 1mm = 1amp.

are u sure I cut some 2.5mm live cable and it blew a hole through a few mm and had a 42 amp fuse fitted

I've never seen unbranded knipex before but how will I know? But they don't look right like the brushed steel bit, send them back and report the seller to draper I think there knipex's UK distributor.

All the Knipex stuff I have is very clearly branded.

There was a place on ebay selling some eared clip pliers as Knipex but they didn't look like genuine ones. I contacted the seller and their response was "All the guys in our workshop use these ones and say they just as good"

Knipex stuff is always really nicely finished, I have the eared clip pliers and a cheap pair, they both do the job the Knipex ones are so much nicer.
