I'm transferring this project from another forum that has sadly died a death.
I won't retrace my steps but will pick it up from where I left off.
Always keen to here from wiser minds than my own as I stumble my way through this with a little trial and error.
I'm building a Brooklsnds (style) replica racing motorcycle. The budget is tight so some allowances have been made most importantly on the engine. I can't afford a late 20s/ early 30s genuine JAP SV or OHV motorcycle engine so the lump is from a less than perfect source that is proving to be an enjoyable project.
I started out with an engine from a Howard Gem. Sadly it was completely shafted so it's staying with the hoe. It was t right anyway as the msg deck was mounted behind the motor and fouled the frame I'm using (1931 AJS) but also didn't have the right look for the period.
I found a similar engine from a Clifford Cultivator but with the mag deck hanging of the front of the motor at about 4 o clock which is almost perfect.
Ok I'll leave it there before anyone passes out from boredom!
