good advice if u do take insurance out its a rip off with get out clausesA good friend of the family is a Vet. He said insurance is a good idea for the first few yrs, and the last few. As its those times most likely to be required.
He said in his experience the only time you need it in between is due to RTA etc. So look after her and she'll be fine then. If it makes you feel better put the cash way, just in case.
Given that it's a springer I'd say insurance is a MUST.A good friend of the family is a Vet. He said insurance is a good idea for the first few yrs, and the last few. As its those times most likely to be required.

Don't let him do too much running too young, it may have an effect on his joint health once he's older. Thanks guys, he's a boy, lovely temperament, gave him a wash this morning in a big bowl as he was very stinky. The old boy we got the dogs off knew his stuff but I don't think he was big on cleaning etc.
Dog didn't bat an eyelid, just let us get on with it.
As soon as he was dry, we let him out into the back garden to stretch his legs and go to the loo and he did a squidgy poo, and then crouched down all over it. Back in the wash pot again...
I didn't realise how much sleep they need and I've tuckered him out chasing a squeaky duck around for a few hours so he's in a coma on the sofa now recharging.
He'll be at home with our second eldest boy tomorrow then he'll have the other half to look after him Wednesday and a day in the shop with me Thursday and Friday.
Can't wait for his second jab so I can take him on walks etc.

just don't over work it when young they will run till they drop just like a whippet just buy a book on working spanielsThere's an awful lot of scaremongering, can't do this, mustn't do that.
It's tough to know what you can do with the dog.
I wouldnt worry too much, I doubt there's as much in it as people say. There's an awful lot of scaremongering, can't do this, mustn't do that.

You just have to be a bit careful when it's young, let it's joints develop properly before letting it go too mad. There's an awful lot of scaremongering, can't do this, mustn't do that.
