Hi guys, my first post on here as until yesterday everything was fine(ish) but now I have a slight problem! Machine is a SIP Migmate 130 Turbo, it is probably 15 years old but has never been a 'good' welder as it suffered the poor wire feed etc. Anyway yesterday I took the plunge and renewed the wire liner with a steel one, then I switched the thing on and started to feed the wire through upto the torch, however after a few seconds the machine cut out! I have flicked the switches (had that problem in the past!) and the relay is clicking ok and the fan works, I tried to get the relay cover off but that seem a no go, I have tested the feed motor and that is ok as well. I am trying to test the power to the relay but seem unable to get any readings from the multimeter, I would have thought that there should be a good reading from the terminals marked R,S and T but there is nothing there. Any advice welcomed, I am pondering about replacing it with a Clarke 151 EN converted to gas (any good?) while Machine Mart have a vat free offer on but would like to find the problem with the SIP as it has never let me down before, even if it was rubbish! Sorry about the long post, I just think that something simple has occoured.
