I've been reading through the various threads on here and drooling over fancy looking machines ~(sure that doesn't make for a clean weld) and finally got to the point where I'll just ask.
I want to learn to tig weld, will be on stainless and ali as well as probably steel. Currently have a 200Amig (not that it ever gets stretched anywhere near 200A) and have done MMA and gas welding in the past.
I was originally taken by suggesting of the Parweld XTT212, but then probably saw a pop up for the XTM211DI and got seduced by the shininess.
I like the idea of the synergic stuff, and not having to think quite so much about setup of the machine, but how good is it and is it worth the extra £££?
The difference in cost is possibly the difference in ordering now or waiting a month or two to save a few more pennies. I've also read that there's an expected price hike which has spurred me on a bit.
