Hi guys,
My first post here, found this forum while searching for homemade heaters/bbqs out of gas bottles.
Im trying to build a little functioning unit that serves multiple functions at once. Heat air/water cook/bake food, and generate power. I stumbled across the thermoelectric generator which fits the bill nicely, no moving parts. I know its no huge amount of power but units can be paralleled for higher amperage or seriesed for higher voltage.

Theoretically you have them connected all the way up your chimney if you wanted to. All they need is a source of heat, and a way to cool the opposing side.
I'll start a new thread when I get to the testing phase but I thought it might be applicable here for an off grid style setup.
