The shreddings/chippings are excellent for mulching. I use it on paths between trees, stops mud and rots down, very useful stuff. Larger branches > 4" for firewood. I might get one to replace the light weight jobby. Ideally one that fits on tractor PTO, but then the price goes into orbit.Cheers @8ob. I've just ordered it.
We do generally tend to burn, but between waiting for wind conditions to be suitable, & when we have time enough to feed & monitor the fire, it can all be sat waiting a while.
There's also been quite a bit of cutback occuring recently, (external workmen, not I), so I want to get that shifted rather than staring at that pile for weeks/months.
It'll be handy to have around when I start doing cutback on the gardens too. Been considering one for a year or two now.
Exactly what unwanted items are we talking about?I've always considered a chipper/shredder next to a river to be the ideal way to dispose of large unwanted items.
