Hello all, first time question here from a newbie to mig welding.
Ok I've got a clarke 135te all was going well with disposable bottles, apart from them leaking and generally being crap. I then ran out of wire that came with the machine mid way through a weld. So I went and bought a 5 kg reel put it on and now no matter what I do I can't lay any weld down, it just seems to melt away before it hits the metal. The wire is coming through fine and if I turn the wire speed whilst laying a weld it makes no real difference. I've just spent about £140 on a new regulator from selection and a bottle from hobby weld and am getting annoyed. I'll attempt some pics, one of them is one of my welds on a subframe before the wire ran out. Hope someone can help me, regards Neil.
