Hi again, have to form a shape at the top drivers side of the windscreen, where the windscreen sits in, the curve section, top of column, ideas on correct forming process will be appreciated.
The easiest way would be to do it in a couple of pieces, the roof skin and the lip and weld them together. The best way would be to make it in one piece using a hammerform to get the basic shape and then forming the compuond curve of the roof skin afterwards
Thanks Troppo, can try that, slowly coming together, got all the rust taken out, and replaced all the inside rot with good metal, structurally more sound, welds may not be pretty, harder to get at, but strong and stable now, was good to cut out the rot to see how far it had gone, glad I did, not as bad as I thought, will post a pic soon
Cheers
Waz
Heres a link to a mob over here that does beater bags in various sizes and styles. Their prices are better than anything i`ve seen overseas. fill it with anything you want but just remember sand breaks down to silica dist (bad for you) and the old timmers used to fill them with lead shot (turns into lead dust even worse for you). I`ve bought a few bags off them they have great customer service and a great range of goods.
