I'm fairly new to welding, did a little welding 10 years ago and recently just went back to a few night classes to polish the skills again.
I'm now looking for setting myself up with a bit of kit. First I'm looking for a TIG set. I'm running on 230v, don't have three phase. I want a fairly portable kit and easy to use. Don't want something that isn't good quality also I'd rather it last than be cheap load of rubbish. Would like the ability to do steels and aluminium. I've seem so kit that talk about max welding thickness? Would I be able to welding thinker material but have to do lots of small runs?
I had a look on the Miller welding kit site http://www.millerwelds.com/products/tig/diversion_165/ what do people think of this?
Also could anyone suggest good suppliers?
Thanks,
Ant
