I did a bit of research and that was my worry.OCV is 65V so 7018 might be doable. Just give it a try.
Most 7018's like a OCV of +70V, so you might have some problems starting the rod.
If 7018 gives to much problems try 7016.
Is that 2.5mm or 3.2mm?I've had that machine for 6+ years and I will run 6013 6011 309 316 7018 7016
And run tig stainless carbon copper
Just give them a try. +70V OCV will make starting easier, but a lot of 60-65V inverters run 7018 no problem.I did a bit of research and that was my worry.
Because dads know bestTo be honest dad got fed up with blowing fuses and put a nail in behind the fuse and after that not so much
Currently on 13amp plug on 2.5mm Arctic cable, not done a fuse yet using 3.2mm (touch wood)Just give them a try. +70V OCV will make starting easier, but a lot of 60-65V inverters run 7018 no problem.
But like @davidjohnperry says, your fuse might not like the bigger rods. According to the manual this thing draws a lot of amps in stick mode. Do you have problems with the mains fuse blowing with 3.2 6013?
