Hi all I am a new member to the forum, but have been following the great advice for a while on here, but now have a question to ask.
I have a Clarke 151en welder and at the moment I am welding a couple of plates on a metro, before moving onto the floors and sills on a mini. I have been using disposable Co2 bottles, then I changed to argon/co2 mix which made my welds look better. But they are costing me a fortune and I dont think the clarke regulator on the welder is working properly as it just seems to be off and on, and no indication how much gas is left, as I found out yesterday when I set up to weld, started and the gas ran out.
So I am looking at another gas alternative, I have seen the Albee, and Hobbyweld setups and was wondering if there were cheaper alternatives, as I am unsure as what I need to connect the cylinders to the small plastic pipe on the welder. I am in Leicester so any advice or good suppliers would be very helpful thanks.
