Here are some photos. The item has fallen on its corner. Id like to make it good.
Now ive never done any hammer work like this before. Im thinking i need some sort of square, and i hammer it round that, maybe heating it too?
Points to note -
a) does not have to be perfect, just resonable
b) i dont have specilist tools
c) suggesting some involved method requiring specilist tools means it wont get done
oh, and d) i cant use filler, as i will get hot.
Basically, i dont mind a rough ish job. A rough ish job, in this case, is better than thinking how to do a perfect job, and doing nothing but thinking.
Id like to get this done tomorrow with what i have to hand.
I have a mapp torch for heat. I have a hammer. Im sure i could find a flat sheet of thick steel. I could probably find some sort of square block.
Will that do me?
And how should i start?
Paint is not important at all - going to be resprayed.
(this is the enclosure for the element heater thing that i was on about in the other thread)
