Hi, I'm new to this forum and havn't done any welding as yet. I do like historic tractors and do need some welding done on them! so have decided to takw the plunge and get some equipment, learn and start doing my own fixing.
Reading through the forum recommendations seem to be for Clarke machines and to make sure I have a good electrical supply.
Question (1)... I have an electrician coming round to quote me for installing a 30amp power socket..... is this going to be suitable for a welder, probably a Clarke mig without giving me any fuse issues?
Quesion (2).... I don't have loads of money and was going to get a Clarke 151TE... which I think will be easy to use and handle a reasonable range of thickness metals...... but will it or should I consider something with a bigger gas bottle?
Thanks for any advice
