Maybe there's more to the story? Maybe the guy needs a quick sale.."Maybe it was miss understanding"
I am extremely surprised someone would be selling a welder you can still buy new for £1400 for around the £200 mark, so much so I didn't even bother to follow the link.
erm You've read the posts a little on the negative side I think. We all only want to socialise, advise, gain advice and have a laugh.Wazzaaah more or less was saying i was full of s##t with the 3 phase welder i had the proof which i would imagine he checked out and to be honest no i don't know a great deal about electrics i suppose you all could say you dont want to be doing it then lol thats the feeling i was getting from Wazzaaah, im just trying to learn more about welding and i suppose follow up message like, Bye, watch the door doesn't really help or make you want to chat to people on this forum, yes you all maybe great at welding but i bet there is alot you cannot get your head around in a different profession, but i tell you one thing i wouldn't be rude about it.
Maybe it was miss understanding and i have had some members try help me the best they can and for that i appreciate it.
I am starting to think that £200 isnt realistic for a good welder with a good duty cycle but i have seen a welder for sale its a MIG Welder R-Tech I-MIG180, its double what i wanted to pay but i watched youtube videos of it running on 13amp at 160amp and he was welding all different thickness metal. This is the unit im thinking about and i may just have to pay more than what i wanted.
I dont want any remarks or bitching lol i just want to talk about welding and learn more about the skill.

Regard the RTech. It's an inverter based machine so it will be a fair bit more friendly on your main supply. All supply's vary a lot I find. I've ran an esab caddy 200i at full 200 amps off the 3 pin at my house and it was fine but others may trip. An inverter based machine will help you further with regard power .
No you got it wrong lol the clarke is new but the park i can get is a 2 year old machine i can get it for a little over 250
If you had looked at the ebay item, you would've seen the £400 start price that was on it...
