Yeah if you want to walk around the side of your shed before you can get in the door, knock yourself out. Those gate latches are a pain in the **** to use plus you need to have a fixture sticking out of the otherwise flush door. Using a wedge on a dirt floor is not something I would even consider. I was using a brick, this catch is better.
It didn't quite take "a day" Picture 1 was taken at 18:25. The last picture of it fitted (and working) was taken at 18:40
I have given a detailed explanation of why it's too much of a chore but I don't think some of the above have either bothered to read it or bothered to think about it.
Maybe it's the camera angle or maybe it's because you can't see the fence (to the right) but the far edge of the door is a very long way from the opening (around a corner!!) AND that's the spot where I want to put my 47kg propane bottle. I don't want to keep the bottle in the shed and that's a really good spot where it only just fits between the shed, the fence and a big stack of ladders/wood stock and I beams.
