Helped clear some rotten sheds in a deceased neighbour’s garden, and found two WW1 shell cases, inside of were a range of crap and various military badges and other militaria. A fossil shark tooth?, A jet from acetylene head lamp, metal military badges, wounded stripes can identify, but salter scale with steel chisel tip and crows foot marker and the red wireless badge have me stumped. There are no units on the scale, goes from 0 to 20, and the bullet tip is what extends / attached to the spring. The aluminium KRR (Kings Rifle Regiment?) aluminium badge on steel chain has markings that I’ll keep sniff around the internet, but any help on what the salter scale was for would satisfy my curiosity!
