Ive got a situation where some old self tappers were so rusted into a piece of bodywork that someone snapped them off trying to remove them and left them to continue rusting below a trim. Its the rear of a roadster where the hood fits, and the fitting is an ally strip which has to be screwed through male duradots (therefore original size screws) into these screw holes. My initial thought is to drill all the rusted screws out and mig the holes up and re drill. However, my concern is that the weld pool is often hardened with the heat and difficult to drill/tap.
