Hi all,
I am very new to welding but considering learning enough to fix the following problems
I do motorsports and have two issues
Subframe bolt had to be drilled out as it was stuck and would not budge any pen oil or heat
Re tap caliper bleeding hole
I remember as a kid i did the traditional welding( if that is what it is called) which you had a plier that you feed the welding stick to and then weld and had to be careful not to stick it to the other surface
I don't want to use helicoil to fix my caliper hole issue so question is , is there a mild steel i can use to fill the hole and re drill?
Is it easy to do mig welding?
I have seen mig welders at screwfix for £80 which do not use gas, do i need gas?
Should i stick with traditional welding or mig?
Sorry if this is a novice question and I am doing research at the same time but wanted to get some guide on the direction i should be studying
