Hi everyone,
First a quick explanation. Every now and then I'm called upon to make repairs to pretty thick steel (5mm) after break-ins, and so after hiring a W/G a few times one fell into my lap for the right amount of pennies. Now, stick welding doesn't seem to be my strong point (lack of experience, damp rods, who knows, sick of grinding out the slag left behind and going again!) and I seem to think someone told me I'd be able to get a box that would plug into the outlets and let me MIG or TIG from it, is this so?
The W/G has a 15hp honda engine and seems to output 200amps. (although I've not used it yet, and I'm still not sure how I'm gonna get it in and out the van without crippling myself)
So, any ideas will be muchos appreciated,
Tim.
