Hi,
I am responsible for creating drawings for welded components and I am very familiar with B.S. standard weld symbols, but one feature that keeps cropping up that I don't know the right symbol for is partially welding around the head of a countersunk fastener to retain it in a steel plate. A fillet weld doesn't seem right to me, but I have seen this used quite frequently. It's more like a short, limited penetration butt weld. Does anyone have any ideas?
