Have i still got LSD in me from 40 years ago or am i seeing water "bleed" from mild steel when i weld with 150A and 0.8 wire? seen it a few times including this afternoon, steel has not been stored wet so can anyone enlighten me
I would guess most likely condensation during these heavy thundery atmospheric conditions. There is a lot of water in warm air so in high humidity, you might expect welding to drop it out of the air very quickly as the supersaturated gasses cool outside the welding area.
PS Very interested in @Brad93 comments regarding hydrogen diffusion but I have no prior knowledge so I'll be busy finding out about that!
