What ever bandsaw you go for, make sure it's the cutting head that swivels and not the vice jaws.
They don't appear this side of the pond, but Ellis band saws swing 45 dogs both directions. Very useful for fabrication.
Great idea that 45degree jig.The sip range of saws have the rotating bow for angle cutting and yes granted they are better than vice adjusting but in my opinion for true accuracy and repeatable cuts a fixed vice and fixed now with a jig in the vice is the best way to go. My vice rotates but unless I'm cutting a one off odd angle I keep it fixed and drop one of my home made jigs into the vice. This way nothing moves and your cutting will always be the same. If you make the jig badly you'll always get a bad cut but at least it will be repeatably bad lol
Here's how I do it.
Ref the warco saw they are just a generic saw like mine and most smaller diy saws. They are usually good tools but need a bit of modding to make them excellent. First job if it was anything like mine is build a decent frame to sit it on.
The bow movers tend to be more accurate when using the scales too. They also seem to have nice sturdy vices too. If I was looking for another it would also be the way I would go too.If I was in the market for a replacement I'd be looking for one where vice is fixed and the head moves.
Reason been trying to cut long lenghts in a confined space where the vice moves is a royal pain
