is it best to prepare an aluminium engine with phosphoric acid rust remover after removing the loose/flaky white corrosion first, thanks for any advice
thanks for your reply, i think ile just try the epoxy as is then 2k, i need the top coat as it should be black i thought it might be ok being that it is anti corrosion but wasnt sure, that cerakote looks decent, wouldnt mind trying that when i can afford it for my polished forks etc, thanksCerakote Mc5100

are you sure your not getting mixed up with caustic soda, as i found out the hard way how bad that is but seem to remember testing a small piece of aluminium with phosphoric acid and it was finePhosphoric acid loves aluminium, and not in a nice way.
