So I am offered a fairly complete EWM TIG AC/DC 200A machine (inverter technology) with torch, foot control, flow meters, etc (no Argon cylinder though) for around 1200 EU (attached a picture)
The machine is approx 8 years old but still works like a charm (so he says.. ). I have had some contact with EWM in germany who told me this welder is a professional machine and costed around 4000 EU back in 2001...
Now I did read the advice a few times never to buy a second hand inverter. What do you guys think? Should I save up a bit more and buy a new one or shall I take the chance with the EWM? I will mostly use it occasionally to weld motorcycle (sub)frames, alu gastanks, etc. and improve my welding skills.
