Hello
I am new to the forum so be gentle with me.
I live on a farm so do both light and heavyish welding work. I have a SIP 150 which has the usual wire feed problems which I am in the process of sorting out.
The SIP used to weld great but welding new plate onto tractor buckets and fixing cattle grids until the thermal trip operates has probably taken it's toll on what is effectively a hobby welder. Maybe I am being a bit unfair on it.
While I do not weld often I think the time has come to go for something a bit more capable and I have upped my budget to suit.
Any suggestions? What about invertor type welders. Are these the same a MIG and do they last as they seem to have some fairly complex electronics as I need something relatively robust.
I only have a 13amp supply.
Thanks in advance, Scragg
