ThanksSteel is measured in imperial sizes, unless it's DIN steel then it's metric, but that's less common in smaller sizes

Now who would do such a thing ?
And then put metric threads on the ends ?
Top tip22mm compression fittings will clamp onto 3/4 steel pipe as the olive will shrink enough to grip the tube
Just paste it all together with the "Brite light loud noise machine" and forgoMostly flanges or welded but can be threaded, hence bigger sizes being more common
Can also use Vitaulic (sp?) fittings, if you are a masochists
1/2" pipe is probably close enough for a 22mm olive to squash down onto it, but 3/4" pipe has an OD a little over 1"22mm compression fittings will clamp onto 3/4 steel pipe as the olive will shrink enough to grip the tube

BSS or Wolseley Pipe Center probably easiest place to get a length. Guessing 1/2" medium grade (blue band) pipe would be what youd want. 3/4" would be too big dia as BS 1387 tube is sized on nominal dia not od. Smallest length is normally 3mNow, where do I get 3/4” steel pipe?
