Hi guys,
I've been a lurking member on here for a while, some really interesting threads in the past.
I'm looking at painting a couple of replacement wings for my 744 silver mercedes.
Having read up, 2k paint is deadly and I want to do the job in Cellulose.
I've a compressor, and an 'okay' paint gun which is brand new.
I know the rough process, sand and prep, de-grease, tack wipe, primer.... then it gets a bit harder for me... Cellulose paint is applied, then a laquer top, in Cellulose also?
I've priced up the following paint parts:
1 ltr U-POL P88 Cellulose Grey Primer
Cellulose Car Colour 500ml
825 Universal Lechsys Thinner 1Ltr
From here: https://www.paints4u.com
Any advice if this looks good or is not going to work, would be grateful. I don't mind making a few mistakes in the start but want to at least buy the correct bits!
Cheers,
Jon
