So As i posted in things that bug you , I acquired a nail in one tyre that was quite worn and had already has a Kwik-Fit puncture repair.
So this was purchased for the high price of £3.45 to fix this puncture.
I may have forgotten to take some pics but the process is quite easy to understand. First, the nail was taken out leaving a hole in the rubber then a reamer type tool was used to enlarge the hole. After this you take a rubber strip from the pack add the solvent rubber glue and Apply to hole and strip. Then i used the special tool that had the rubber threaded through and pushed it into the hole leaving a little sticking out.
If all has went well upon pulling the tool out fast the rubber strip has knotted inside the tyre wall and made it too big to get out.
I then trimmed off the excess with a stanley blade.
It is cut flush to the tyre and then i filed up to 32 PSI and checked for leaks with some leak detection spray (fancy soapy water ).
It passed the test showing no bubbles. Going to leave it off the car for a little while and monitor the pressure and then monitor it again for a few weeks once it is back on.
If anyone has any experience with these feel free to share and I will try to remember to update this with the progress as time passes.
Here is an excellent video showing the simple process and also how it looks from inside the tyre.
