Hi;
I will shortly be spraying some Jotun Jotmastic Epoxy Primer and need a bit of advice.
First job is my Subframe, then i'll be doing inside my Boot, Underside and Inside Floor.
According to the TDS here once mixed the pot life is 10 Hours so if I mix it up i'll have plenty of time to get it sprayed on.
How Much Thinners?
I have the Jotun Thinners No 17 how much should I use when spraying? (Think this was answered a while ago - sorry)
One coat or two?
The TDS says Dry to Re Coat Minimum is 10 Hours @ 23 Degrees Celcius so if I need two coats then I have to leave it for that length of time?
Cleaning Up:
This stuff dry like concrete (so I have been told) so I need to clean up the gun correctly - any tips? My plan was to clean out the pot and put some Jotun Thinners in it and spray it through and then dismantle the gun and clean individual bits?
Time to Top Coat:
Regardless how many coats how long should I wait to apply the Top Coat, 10 Hours @ 23 Degrees again?
Preparation for Top Coat?
Will I need to prepare the primer / rub down if so what with? or can I just spray on?
Any other tips?
I have a 3M Half Mask with ABEK1 / P3 Filters and will be spraying this outside but probably in a makeshift plastic shelter to to stop any dust?
Sorry for all the questions - not done this before
