Im looking to buy second hand AC/DC TIG welder around the 200amp mark, im trying very hard to stay away from the chinese origin machines as they are hit and miss, the price is quite good tho BUT for a reason I know!
I was looking to spend ITRO £500-£600 i realise that my budget is a little on the low side but i cant really justify spending more as (a) I havent really got it and (b) Use will not be over regular.
Im currently looking on ebay, the likes of Saf Nertabloc TH 260 and the MILLER WELDER AC/DC TIG (3ph this one) are not really an option as they are 415v or 230v which would be ok but 230v @ 90Amps isnt reallistic for domestic supply, allso the size and weight of thease old machines are little on the big size shall we say, (saf not that bad).
The Clarke Turbo 270 is a bit of an un known i think as they are old and not much info on the net for them, which ask's the question...... are they any better than a new chinese machine??????
The r-tech 160 i feel may be a little on the light side.
Sadly the ESAB at 750 and Cebora 16p are a little out my range.
Any views and recomendations would gladly be recieved!
