only one way to find out, as Harry Hill would have it.......
Really to stop acting the giddy goat I'm aiming to get welding and tho' I've kinda set to on a Clarke 160tm like Mr 'Quip sells I'm wondering if a tig of similar or pref' cheaper cash would be a better setup for what I'd like to do with it.
Want to do some body mods on our Moke-alike which the Clarke should do fine (me being capable is another matter) Sharon's after a Landrover so'll def' need to weld the thing up when she breaks it towing stuff out of mud and what have you but I also fancy getting to grips with alloy welding, kinda 14 gauge and up, and as I understand having had a butchers at stuff on here low amps rule, as far as I'm aware tig gives a better finish but takes longer, is that about the size of it?
Any advice guys.
Andy
