Hello been reading the forum for about 2 months.really enjoy it. been welding for about 15 years both mig and arc. did basic course when at agricultural college. got all my own gear. clarke 230mig esseti 160 amp dc invertor lincoln plasma cutter pc 100 rotabroach drill etc.
currently working as a fitter/welder in an animal feed mill. made most of the plant out of scrap( hence the user name !) most other people call me granville as i work for a bloke tighter than arkwright. only manged to get him to buy new steel 2 years ago !
just moved house and setting up the garage as a workshop to do welding at home. got a few orders in for gates.
seems people on the forum like halfords tools been using some for years and are very good. also got britool, although not too sure about the new socket sets. at least they are 6 sided sockets to reduce chances of rounding off but the quality feels less than before.
only 2 good products ever bought from Sealy a rechargable led torch and a floor mat. SIP never again been wating 2 months for a part for my pillar drill. best accessory for a pillar drill is to get an adaptor so you can use rotabroach bits in them. got mine for only £10 !!!!!!!!
Always wear saftety glasses when grinding/cutting
any chance u could change my user name as i slept it wrong should be scrapyard.
