Have you made all of these parts yourself, hubs, tracks etc with an old lathe and a small milling machine. REALLY. I feel so inadaquate now. and I cant spell inadequate either.I'm not in engineering at all. I used to be a welder years ago. as for equipment I have an old myford lathe that I restored I've put pics on here somewhere and a small milling machine. A lot of spare time and a good imagination. like they say. If I was clever I could be dangerous
Amazing, really good work there. I'm blown away.I've made everything apart from the cranked link chain i'm using. there are track plates to make that fasten to the chain. but yes I've made it all.
It's not big enough to fit any kind of engine i'll probably use two decent sized mobility scooter batteries fastened together as a power pack so I can lift them out and replace with a second charged one. but i'm a long way off that. I only work on it when I've got spare time sometimes I don't touch it for weeks. I've been doing it for over 12 months and it will probably take me another 12 months to finish it.First time I've noticed this, very nice.
Have you thought of using a Diesel engined genny, [even better still a gen set] to supply power.
