Hi
First time poster, just joined - hello -, I have an old MIG 130 SIP Migmate, bought about 20 years ago and been quite a good machine (where do I find the exact model type/serial number?) and whilst using this morning the wire feed just stopped, opened the torch to check for bad terminals at switch and they were all clean, I figured there must be a voltage of some sort at the two terminals in the switch so took my meter and checked - zilcho volts - traced back to the circuit board, checked continuity of wire to gun and also ground connections.
I then got to the pcb and checked the transformer primary and secondary voltages, the secondary side seemed to be about 290v ac (should it not be 240v ac?) on the two outer terminals, I think the middle one is a common ground or something, not too sure, secondary winding there was not anything significant a voltage, and transformer sticker says output 12v, could not find 12v dc anywhere.
So from what I have found it does not seem to me as if the transformer is putting out the correct DC voltage, does that sound right or is there something else I should be checking? I have attached my circuit board pictures for all to see.
Hope I can maybe get a better step through of fault finding this, i'm not that sure really.
Thanks
