I have been MIG welding for 5 years now and would say I'm fairly good at running a weld. One thing I am not good at is understanding how the machine works I put this down to being a iegit in school which I regret now like many people in the world. I think my problem is my lack of knowledge on how electricity works. So could anyone on here put it to me in a basic way of how the arc circuit works in a machine. One problem had yesterday with my MIG and I have had many times before is sometimes when the nozzle touches the parent metal or when the wire hits the metal it blows a fuse usually when the nozzle touches it makes a humming noise and if I don't get it broke of the metal fast it will blow.
